Happy Halloween!

A rough night again, this morning we carved pumpkins and then ran some errands. After Sofie's nap we went to the Halloween Walk on Montana, but it was a little too crowded for Sofie to walk around so we decided to head down to Palisades Park and let her run around for a bit. Mormor Lillemor came over for a quick visit and we all took a walk in the neighborhood and checked out the decorations. We're trying to push Sofie's bedtime a little later each night starting tonight to get ready for the time change next weekend, hopefully it will work out!

Whoo Whoo!

A better night finally and today we discovered another tooth popping through, not the other center tooth, but one next to the one Sofie already has. I had a meeting in the morning so Sofie and Dad hung out and ran some errands. Sofie took a long nap and then we went to the Harvest Festival at the Library, where Sofie wore her other (homemade) costume, followed by some play time at the park.

Halloween Festivities!

Another rough night and bad teething, but a fun-filled day today! This morning we visited Dad at work for their Halloween celebration and Sofie "buzzed" all over the building and did some stair climbing. Then this afternoon our SM MOMS Group held it's Halloween Party at the park for all the playgroups and Dad joined us their after work, Sofie was walking all over the park and we had fun checking out all her friends costumes.

Heat Wave

Night started well but went downhill from there. This morning we took advantage of the warm weather and went down and met some friends at the beach playground, where Sofie ended being more interested in walking along the boardwalk than the playground, she really loves to walk! After that we went to Baby Time at the library before heading home for an early nap. Sofie woke up grouchy from her nap so we spent a quiet afternoon at home.

Buzzing In Music Class

Another really rough one, can't tell if Sofie is coming down with something or if it's all just the teething. We had a busy day today, Music Makers this morning where all the kids dressed up in their costumes, Sofie had a blast as usual. She took a short one hour nap and then we spent the warm afternoon in the park.

Jackolantern Bucket

Still sleeping horribly. Ran some errands this morning then we went to our activity group this afternoon where we decorated pumpkins and sang Halloween songs and read stories.

Extra Weekend Day

A better night last night, but Sofie's nose and gums were still bothering her today, can't figure out if it's a cold, teething or both. Dad was home from work today which Sofie and I enjoyed. This morning we bought Sofie her first pair of real shoes and this afternoon Dad took Sofie to the park while I got a flu shot. Looking forward to a busy week with lot's of fun Halloween activities!

Oktoberfest!

Worst night yet last night and Sofie seemed to have a stuffy nose that got worse as the night progressed. Her nose stayed a little runny throughout the day and I think I caught a glimpse of the tooth poking but not sure. We spent the morning shopping for a last minute costume for Sofie. After her nap we went to our friends the Hinnen's Oktoberfest and Pumpkin Carving Party. Sofie was a little cranky but still had fun running around the backyard and playing with her costume.

Pumpkins!

More bad sleep but we had a fun day today. Headed to The Underwood Family Farms a local farm where we saw lot's of animals, went on a tractor-drawn wagon ride, listened to some live music, walked through a huge pumpkin patch and picked out some pumpkins to take home. Sofie had a great time, loved walking all over the farm, we will definitely be going back! Sofie had a short, late nap when we got home and we took a walk with Charlie along Main Street.

Future Pilot

Another really rough night and Sofie was up for the day at 6am! We had a busy day today, visited Grandpa Ali at the airport today and Sofie got to check out the cockpit in Grandpa's airplane. This afternoon we went to playgroup and Sofie was walking and playing so much she hardly wanted to leave the park!

No More Rain!

Another rough night and Sofie was up for the day early at 6:45. We went to Baby Time at the library this morning then Sofie took an early, long nap. The rain finally stopped today though it was still grey and cold, but we managed a park visit this afternoon. Sofie was teething bad all day, hoping that second top tooth makes an appearance soon!

Grocery Run

Another rough night, Sofie was up every hour between 1-3am. We had Music Makers this morning and Sofie had fun as always, she is getting more and more bold about moving around the room away from me now that she is confident in her walking ability. Had a mellow afternoon at home with a quick trip to the grocery store, hoping this rain let's up so we can go to the park again soon!

Rainy Day Fun

Another rough night and Sofie was teething really bad today, by the looks of how she keeps poking her tongue out it seems like she might be working on some of the side teeth, but I haven't caught a glimpse of anything yet. Spent the rainy morning at the mall and Sofie had fun playing in the kids area. She took a short nap and then we spent the afternoon doing some Halloween costume shopping.

Da Da Da Da...

Up every two hours, not sure if it's her teeth or maybe getting sick, we shall see. It was a grey, rainy day so we ran some errands this morning and then spent the afternoon at home playing and reading books, Sofie loves to read books! She had Daddy on the brain all day and was asking for him non-stop, so she was glad to have him home in the evening.

Put It Away

Another rough night and Sofie was tired and teething today. It rained all day so we spent most of the day, grocery shopping and hanging at home. Sofie just learned how to pull things out of a container and then put them back, she practiced a lot today with her new jack 'o lantern bucket.

Swinging Together

A slightly better night but still a lot if wake-ups though Sofie's fever finally broke so that helped. She seemed to be feeling better today but still tired. Spent the morning at the mall and Sofie got to run around in a store for the first time. She took a late nap and we ran some more errands in the afternoon before squeezing in a quick park visit.

Fever Friday

A very rough night, Sofie was up every hour and developed a fever overnight most likely thanks to her vaccines yesterday. Her fever didn't break all day so she was pretty out of it and tired. We hung out at home all day reading books and watching TV. Hoping Sofie feels better tomorrow, she managed a few smiles by bedtime.

Waiting

A pretty rough night, not sure if it was teething or something else. Sofie had the first of three rounds of her one year shots this morning. Stopped for a few minutes to get some air in the park on our way home before she took an early, long nap, the shots seemed to make her pretty groggy. Went to another park in the afternoon, but Sofie was still pretty tired, hoping she can sleep better tonight.

Mirror, Mirror On The Wall

A rough night and Sofie was not herself today, not sure if it's just the teething or if it has something to do with her reflux acting up again, will up her medication dose tomorrow and see if that helps. This morning we went to Music Makers and after a longer nap we went for a short play in the park. Sofie loves checking herself out in the mirror and likes to say "hi!" to her reflection.

Taco Truck Night

Good night last night, only up a couple times. Today went to the library, then the park. Went down to the taco trucks on main. Sofie ran around all over the grass, I think she had a really good time watching and running with all the other kids.

Sunny Monday

Another pretty good night's sleep again. Ran some errands and went to the park this morning. Sofie took a shorter nap and woke up pretty grouchy, I think she hopefully is working on her second top tooth. We checked out Virginia Park in the afternoon and after all the outdoor time Sofie was pretty hungry and ate a lot at dinner!

Bear Wrestling

Another pretty good night of sleep thankfully. We headed back home this morning after Sofie had some fun wrestling with the polar bear we got her from the zoo, I think she was imitating the polar bears playing. Sofie didn't want to take a nap so we ran some errands and finally got her to take a short one then we spent the rest of the afternoon in the park with Charlie where Sofie was walking (practically running) all over the place.

First Zoo Visit

We finally got a pretty good night's sleep, Sofie was pretty exhausted. We spent all morning at the San Diego Zoo and had a great time checking out all the animals, especially the gorillas, which Sofie is pointing to in this picture and the polar bears which were extremely playful and came up close to the glass. After a nap we hit the hotel pool again. We headed to Old Town for an early dinner and then checked out some live music which Sofie had fun dancing to.

San Diego!

Another rough night, but we headed to San Diego this morning to celebrate my birthday for the weekend. Made it there by Sofie's naptime but of course she was too hyped up running all over the hotel room to sleep so we took a dip in the pool then managed to get her down for a quick nap before heading out to dinner. Sofie had a blast walking all over the restaurant and making good use of the steps, luckily the place was pretty empty! After dinner we took a walk along the marina and checked out the boats before bed. I was worried about bedtime without a rocker but as it turns out Sofie has pretty much weaned herself from rocking, still needs to be held and sung to sleep, but it's definitely a big step.

Team Spirit!

Another rough night and Sofie was pretty tired and teething bad today, that tooth is still not close to being all the way out and really seems to be bothering her. We went to Baby Time at the library this morning and then Dad came home early and took Sofie to the park while I had a meeting. Heading to San Diego in the morning!

Big Fan

A much better night last night and Sofie took a two and a half hour nap today (co-nap today). Still teething bad too. It was raining hard most of the day, we spent the morning at Music Makers and then after her long nap went to the grocery store to pick up some things for our weekend away in San Diego (can't wait for Sofie's first trip to the zoo!) Here she's checking out Yo Gabba Gabba (which she calls Baa).

Giggly Girl

Another rough night, the teething just seems to be in the way of Sofie getting any rest. She only managed 30 minutes on her own for her nap again, but she was so cranky and tired when she woke that I picked her up and rocked her back for another hour and a half. We spent the morning visiting Grandpa Ali and Grandma Lucy at the airport and then ran some errands this afternoon in the rain.

Future Picasso

A rough night again last night and only a 30 min nap again today (thanks to me not holding her, she tried to sleep longer but her teething woke her up). This morning we ran some errands then this afternoon we went to Activity Group where Sofie did her first ever art project, she really loved touching the paints!

Dog Park

A rough night and Sofie was still teething bad today but the tooth is making progress. We ran some errands this morning then Sofie took a brief nap (we are working on weaning her from being held for her naps). We spent the afternoon in the park/dog park, Sofie was walking all over and spent some time checking out the dogs Charlie was playing with.

Reading With Mormor

A much better night, Sofie was still teething bad all day. We ran some errands this morning then after a long nap we took a walk down to the library. Dad had to work all evening so Mormor Lillemor came over to help out, Sofie had a blast playing with her and reading books!

A Third Tooth!

Another really rough night, but the tooth (top left) finally broke through! Sofie was pretty cranky all day, we went for a visit to my old office this morning and then went to the playground on the beach for playgroup this afternoon.
