Non-fussy Entertainment

A really rough night, think that the sweet potato was giving her bad stomach pains. Very sleepy, but able have a little entertainment time during the day.

Tired Tuesday

Had our first rough night last night after a week of good sleep. Sofie was still tired and grouchy today, I think her teething was really bothering her too. She tried sweet potatoes today, she wasn't too sure about them at first but still ate the whole bowl!

Captain Squash-Beard

We met our friends Moksha and baby Lincoln again today for a walk at the beach, but both Sofie and Lincoln were still exhausted from yesterday so it was a short walk. Sofie was tired and teething most of the day, but had enough energy to gulp down and entire bowlful of squash this afternoon!

First Friend!

We met our friends the Brunos at the Grove today and Sofie got to met her first baby and friend, Lincoln! Sofie had a lot of fun and was exhausted by bedtime!

Chow Time With Daddy

Daddy had fun feeding Sofie her bananas and squash today!

Lunch with Grandpa

We met Grandpa Ali for lunch today and Sofie had fun, hamming it up and flirting with the waiters.

Chilly Day

An overcast day, but we decided to go to the park anyway to distract Sofie from more bad teething. Still sleeping pretty well though and just tried squash for the first time today, she seemed to like it! All her foods so far have been homemade.

New Bib

Got a new plastic bib today, thought that might help keep things a little less messy. Sofie thought she should try eating it too! Still teething, but getting some better sleep the last couple nights.

Banana Face

Today we enjoyed some more banana, liked it even more this time around, although alot of it ended up on her face.

Toes

Went to the park for awhile today, it was very nice out. Still cranky, and no sign of teeth, but we finally had a fairly normal night sleep. Third day eating bananas and Sofie is really starting to like them, smiling and opening her mouth for more!

Take Me Out...

Went out to see a friends daughter play softball, Sofie was a little grouchy. It was warm out, so we think she just got a little hot, along with the teething which continues.

Toe Teether

Sofie was teething really bad all day, we went for a long walk along the beach and through the park and she decided to use her toes as a teether. Also tried some banana today, fingers crossed it goes down better than the cereal!

Rear View Mirror

Got out of the house and ran some errands today to distract Sofie from the terrible teething pain. Unfortunately she's not really a fan of the car seat but her new Baby Einstein mirror seems to help a little!

The Cadillac of Baby Carriers

Used our brand new Cat Bird Baby Pikkolo baby carrier for the first time today and both Sofie and I loved it, it's super comfortable! Otherwise very tired today, still trying to sleep off the growth spurt I think.

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Visited Daddy at work today for their St. Paddy's celebration. Sofie met her first celebrity, Dustin Hoffman, who flirted with her in the lobby! Otherwise had a very tired, crabby day, thinking the growth spurt is just about wrapping up and hoping she will be sleeping it off now.

Hot And Sunny

Another rough night and day of teething and working on a growth spurt, but it was beautiful, 85 and sunny, so we enjoyed some tummy time at the park.

Remote-ly Interested

Had a very rough night last night, the rice cereal definitely didn't agree with Sofie's stomach and kept her up most of the night. On top of this, I think she has started her 6 month growth spurt, she has been eating non-stop the last three days and still teething of course. All in all it was a rough weekend for our poor girl. Felt a little better this afternoon and had some fun playing with the TV remote before bed, hoping tonight goes better.

Distraction Day

Another day of a very fussy girl, think that the rice cereal didn't agree with her and now she is really gassy. Made another trek to the park to try and distract her, worked for about an hour.

Park Day

Went to the park to try and make Sofie forget about her teeth. Also tried some rice cereal today, Sofie wasn't very interested in it, I think her teeth bothered her too much.

Rough day, 6 months checkup.

Sofie had her 6 month checkup today. Not only was she really fussy from her teeth bothering her, but today she got 4 shots.

12lbs 1.0 oz

26 inches long

She's a tall girl, the doctor wants her to try and put on more weight though. We also talked about starting solid food! Hopefully that will help her put some weight on. She did really well getting 4 shots, and being at the doctor for almost 2 hours. Getting her ready for bed, we noticed her bottom gums were starting to bleed a little, hoping that means that we will have teeth soon! But also means we are in for a rough night.

A Drooly Day

Think Sofie is finally over her cold, instead we have had two days (and nights) of really bad teething (note the drooly chin), really hoping we see some teeth soon!

Case of the giggles

After our walk today, Sofie got a case of the giggles. Our non-comedy works so well with her!

6 Months Old!

Hard to believe Sofie is already half a year old! Feeling a lot better today and getting back to her normal sleep/nursing patterns (we had three blissful nights of her sleeping for 8 hours straight while she was recovering!). Just started making real progress on sitting up on her own today, she sat for couple minutes for the first time without toppling over.

Daddy's Home!

Still tired, crabby and congested today, but all smiles when Daddy walked in the door from work as usual!

Feeling better

Got a full nights rest last night, but Sofie is still really tired, at least made it outside today. Think she is sleeping the last of this cold off. Booked our trip back to Kansas today, can't wait to get home to see Grandma and Grandpa!

Getting better

Think things are looking up, tried to sit in the bathroom for a "steam". Charlie wanted to join Sofie, they both enjoyed the steam. Hoping things are going better, see how things go tonight.

Hamming It Up

Sofie was very grouchy today, I think she was frustrated because she's feeling a little better but still too tired to be really active. I kept trying to get a shot of her looking crabby, but everytime the flash went off she would smile, all this photo taking has definitely made her love the camera!

Still Under The Weather

Sofie was a little more energetic today but still battling this cold, hoping we all feel better soon!

The Entertainer

Sunny played entertainer today for awhile, trying to keep our sick Sofie's mind off of her sore throat. She sounds much worse today, got worse as the day went on, feel so bad for her. Everyone in the house is now fighting this cold, our first family cold, not fun.

Fighting it off

I stayed home today, sickest I have been in awhile. We think that Sofie is fighting something as well, not being herself. Let's hope she doesn't get what I have. Did have time to read a book though!

Mr. Mom

Played Mr. Mom today for a few hours while Sher went to work. I stayed home because I was sick, hoping I feel better tomorrow, and I don't pass it on to Sofie or Sher.
