Summer Daze

A real rough one last night. Sofie was cranky and teething all day. We ran some errands this morning, she took a short nap and then we spent the afternoon down near the beach enjoying the beautiful weather.

Sunny Swing

A real rough one last night. Dad was home with us most of the day because he had to work late in the evening. We ran some errands in the morning and visited Grandpa Ali at the airport office this afternoon, after which we walked down to the airport park playground for some swinging. Mormor Lillemor came over for dinner and to help me with bedtime and Sofie was great with her. Sofie finally ate some more solids today, not a lot but more than she has been, though at dinner she wasn't really interested in anything again and was teething pretty badly.

Sharing

Another rough night and teething bad today. We ran some errands this morning and then spent the afternoon in the park, but Sofie was pretty grouchy all day. Her new favorite thing to do is share her food with us, so we've been eating a lot of Cheerios and puffs the last couple days.

Biking Pair

A better night last night. Sofie was still tired and teething bad today, but we had a great day! Sofie went for her first bike ride with Dad and they both loved it. We spent the afternoon at Fiesta La Ballona, we met up with some friends from playgroup, did some dancing to live music, and Sofie tried her first Italian ice, which I think gave her a little sugar rush. She was beyond exhausted by the time we got home for bed but we had a great time!

Night from...

Well, you can finish that title. Last night was a really rough night, feeding every two hours. Today we went to playgroup, still teething badly, still not eating much (except for cheerios, some of my waffle). Hoping tonight will be a better night, and tomorrow will bring us some teeth.

Stand And Shake

Slightly better night, but teething really bad all day. We went to Baby Time at the library this morning and then spent the afternoon in the park.

Talking In The Park

Up every two hours to nurse last night. We ran some errands this morning and then Sofie took a very long nap. We spent the sunny afternoon in the park, where Sofie did a lot of standing and a lot of chewing on everything.

Case Of The Tuesdays

A much better night last night, but Sofie was still tired and very grouchy all day. We finally had our gastro appointment this morning and got some ideas on how to help Sofie deal with her tummy troubles. She weighed in at 15lbs. 11oz. so she hasn't gained much these last two months, not surprising considering she hardly eats solids and at the same time is a a huge ball of energy, always on the move. She took a long nap and woke up pretty grouchy so we just took eat easy and hung out around the house this afternoon. She refused to eat anything for dinner and her teeth seem to be really bothering her hoping for relief soon.

Mellow Monday

Another really bad night, but Sofie seemed better today though so we are chalking yesterday up to teething, which she was still pretty bad today. Had a mellow morning then went to Activity Group this afternoon.

Sunday sick-day?

Today Sofie had a slight fever when she woke, and had one off and on throughout the day. Rough night of no sleep last night. Hoping it's not her getting sick, but some teeth coming through. We shall see.

Beautiful Beach Day!

Another rough night, and more bad teething today. We spent the morning running errands and then spent the afternoon at the beach. Sofie had a blast in the water and didn't want to get out! She was exhausted by bedtime.

Hot Summer Fun

An okay night except a 4am wide -eyed standing in the crib wake-up, which made it difficult to get Sofie back to sleep again. We had a full day today, met our friend Brooke in the park this morning then had playgroup at the beach this afternoon. Sofie was pretty tired and grouchy, thanks to the teething, all day.

Toothy Thursday

A slightly better night last night, finally got one good chunk of time between wake ups but Sofie was still up a lot to nurse. She was very grouchy and teething really bad all day. We went to Baby Time at the library this morning, then spent another beautiful summer afternoon at the park doing a lot of standing.

Standing, Standing!

More bad sleep and only a short nap today. Sofie was teething bad but we had a pretty full, busy day. This morning was our last Music Makers class of this session. At lunch Sofie decided to share her puffs with me, something she's never done before. She also picked out her ball from a group of toys today when I asked where her ball was, another first. Then we spent a gorgeous afternoon in the park with Mormor Lillemor, where Sofie was standing all over the place, much more and for longer than she ever has before!

Taking it all in!

I got off early from work and was able to take Sofie down to the beach. Beautiful warm day finally, she crawled off and picked some flowers, and enjoyed all the dogs walking bye!

Last night was another sleepless night, up every two hours nursing, hope we can get things turned around once we visit the gastro specialist on the 24th.

Activity Group

Another bad night, Sofie was tired and teething all day. We ran some errands this morning and took a long walk with Charlie. We spent the afternoon at the first meeting of the activity group that some of the moms from our playgroup started, sang songs, played with puppets and Sofie's favorite part was the bubble machine. As the picture shows, she loved having them flying towards her, we're going to have to get one of our own.

Walker

Another rough one left Sofie pretty tired today and teething bad again too. We hung out with our friend Greg at the Farmer's Market this morning, then went to the park this afternoon. We bought Sofie a walker/ride on yesterday, but she'll only walk with it for about a minute before she throws a huge fit, I think she is getting frustrated that she can't quite maneuver it by herself just yet.

Babies!

More bad sleep, up all night nursing. Sofie was teething pretty bad all day, we ran some errands this morning and then spent the afternoon and evening visiting with friends, we saw baby Bronte Damm, who's grown so big! And we finally got to meet baby Olivia Alejos. Sofie had a lot of fun!

New Toy?

Another up every two hours night, and a busy day today, we ran errands this morning then visited with a mom from our playgroup who just adopted a new baby and then finally spent the rest of the afternoon in the park at playgroup. Sofie decided it would be fun to shake Charlie's collar like a rattle before bed. We got her allergy test results back today and she is definitely allergic to dairy as we suspected all along in addition to fish and peanuts, hoping she is able to grow out of them eventually.

First Beach Concert!

A real rough one last night, up every two hours, think Sofie is making up for hardly eating at all and also seems to be working on standing, twice when she woke up she was standing up. A full day today, went to the park this morning and Sofie wanted to walk all over the playground (holding my hands of course). Spent the afternoon visiting Grandpa Ali and Grandma Lucy at the office, where Sofie climbed her first staircase, she didn't hesitate for a second when she saw them and just kept going till she made it to the top. After dinner we went down to the beach for Sofie's first summer concert at the pier, we met our friend Matt there and Sofie had a blast people watching and shaking her rattles along to the music.

Shakin It Up

Another bad night, but Sofie took a three hour nap today! And she was still tired by bed hoping it doesn't mean she's coming down with something. Went to Music Makers this morning and played in the park for a little while after. When Sofie finally woke from her long nap we headed down to the grass by the beach but it was pretty windy so we didn't stay long. Sofie was teething pretty bad and again not really interested on eating much today.

Digging The Park

A slightly better night last night and managed a two hour nap today. Went shopping for a new umbrella stroller this morning, then spent the beautiful afternoon in the park swinging and playing in the sand. Sofie really wanted nothing to do with food today, her gums were really bothering her, hoping we see some teeth soon!

11 months old!

Today Sofie turned 11 months old (08-09-10)! Can't believe we are 1 month from a year, crazy! Took the day off, had to take her for blood test for food allergies this morning, she actually did really well. Then we got our iPhone 4's! Then off to the park for some fun and bubbles (picture taken from new phone)!

Oceans Of Fun

More bad sleep, beginning to think it has more to do with Sofie's tummy troubles than the teething, but not sure. Ran errands this morning then spent the afternoon at the beach. Sofie got a little more daring this time and got her toes and legs wet and really loved playing with and flinging the wet sand!

Water Break

Another rough night and Sofie woke up early this morning. We ran some errands this morning then enjoyed another beautiful afternoon in the park, Sofie loved seeing the ducks!

Summer Fun Friday

Another bad night but, Sofie slept in till 9am and finally managed a two hour nap at least. We met and old high school friend and her nephew at the park this morning and then Daddy came home from work early so we spent the afternoon down at the playground on the beach, another beautiful summer day!

Afternoon At The Office

Another rough night and one too short nap today. The teething continues and is making Sofie miserable. Spent the morning in search of some new footsie pjs, outgrew the old ones in length. Then this afternoon paid a visit to Grandpa Ali at the airport office. Sofie is really wanting to "walk" around everywhere now, meaning me holding her up while she walks around, exciting but backbreaking for me!

Summer, Finally!

An okay night, still a lot of wake ups, I think Sofie is just making up for not nursing or eating well during the day thanks to her miserable teething. We went to Music Makers this morning and Sofie had a blast as usual. She only managed one short one hour nap and then we spent the beautiful afternoon down at the beach playing on the playground and the grass. Sofie was doing a lot of standing today and is able to stand for longer and longer now.

Check-up

A better night last night after a rough start. Did some shopping this morning then Sofie took a short midday nap. I was concerned about her reflux acting up again so we decided to go see the doctor this afternoon and she is referring us to a gastroenterologist to check for more food allergies. Played at home the rest of the day and Sofie was pretty tired by bed.

Teething and Tired

A horrible night, Sofie was up every half hour. The teething is making her miserable day and night but still no sign of teeth. We ran errands this morning and spent the overcast afternoon in the park, Sofie was exhausted well before bedtime, hoping she sleeps better tonight.

Beach Day!

A slightly better night, but teething very bad all day. We took a long walk along the beach with Charlie this morning, then spent the afternoon going down on the sand and checking out the ocean with Sofie for the first time, she even dipped her toes in briefly! Later Mormor Lillemor came over for a visit and dinner.
