Who, Me?

Sofie is definitely starting to test the waters of what she can and cannot do, not entirely sure that she fully understands "no" yet, I think she thinks it's more of a game at the moment. An okay night, Sofie slept for a few good chunks but was still super stuffy and couldn't nurse. Had a mellow day today, stayed home all morning waiting on a handy man, then after a long nap we took a walk with Charlie along Main. Really hoping Sofie's nose starts to clear up soon.

Tile Time

Another rough night thanks to Sofie's stuffed nose, she couldn't breath or sleep all night. We ran some errands this morning then finally managed a nap, afterwards we walked around outside, Sofie likes to check out the mural at the school next door.

Sniffly Sunday

Sofie's nose won't stop running, and she can't breath out of her nose. Probably a big part of why she didn't nap today, even after going to Aiden's place in the morning. Ok night of sleep, came into bed with us at 6 and slept till 8. Sad that Thanksgiving weekend is over.

Oh, Christmas Tree

Another better night but Sofie was pretty congested all night and all day today, not sure if it's another cold or the teething. We ran some errands this morning then Sofie refused to take her nap and we spent the afternoon decorating and putting up the tree. Sofie really loved checking out the ornaments. Finally took a short late nap but she was pretty overtired by bed, fingers crossed for more sleep.

Picture Day

Finally a better night of sleep, at her last wake-up at 5 am, I finally decided to bring Sofie into our bed for the first time and she slept for another hour and a half. This morning we ran some errands and then after Sofie's nap we met Grandpa Ali and he took some photos for our Christmas card. This evening we decided to brave the chilly weather and walk down to Main Street for dinner, Sofie had fun chowing down on puffs, which she seems to be obsessed with lately. Hoping for another better night tonight!

Gobble! Gobble!

Happy Thanksgiving! Another rough night and a short nap today which left Sofie pretty tired but we still had a nice Turkey day. Prepped for dinner this morning while Dad and Sofie took a walk outside, then after nap Mormor Lillemor came over and we all took a walk with Charlie along the beach before a yummy dinner.

Little Helper

Another rough night but Sofie seems to be entirely over her illness at least. This morning we had Music Makers, so proud of how Sofie put all her toys and instruments away at clean up time. After class we took a quick trip to the grocery store and Sofie helped unpack the groceries at home. She took another very long nap then Dad came home a little early and we all went to the park together to enjoy the last few minutes of daylight. Looking forward to the long weekend!

Self-Portrait

A slightly better night though still up a lot. We went to Baby Time at the library this morning and then Sofie took a very long nap, she woke up so late that we had to miss our activity group. Instead we took Charlie for a long walk and ran some errands. Sofie finally seemed to regain her full appetite today and didn't seem to be teething as bad. Hoping for some sleep in our future!

Mirror!

Slightly better night but Sofie was up early. We went to Moo Moo Musica this morning, Sofie is finally starting to get into the rhythm of the class and feel comfortable there, today she put her toy away for the first time ever during clean up time! She also shared a toy with another baby unprompted, another first, she's really starting to interact more and play with other kids now. After her nap she finally ate a decent sized meal and then we took Charlie for a long walk.

Cool and Breezy

Another super rough night, Sher slept in the chair from 4am on. Trip to Ikea in the morning for some new shelves. It was really cool and breezy today, went to the park, enjoyed it as much as we could handle.

That time of year!

Went to the culver city mall today. Sofie enjoyed shopping and people watching. Another rough night, and still not eating much at meals. Didn't even enjoy the tacos I made for dinner.

Fun With Mormor

An okay night, but still grouchy and teething bad all day. We went to playgroup this morning and had a lot of fun then after a short nap Mormor came over for a visit. We walked Charlie along Main and then Mormor and Sofie had some fun reading books.

Tummy!

A better night but Sofie was very cranky and teething bad today, she hardly ate I think thanks to the teething pain. This morning we went to Baby Time at the library and went to the beach park with our friends Ava and Mama Devin after. Sofie took a long nap and then we ran some errands. Sofie has started learning body parts, so far she knows "toes" and "tummy."

Slow Recovery

A really rough night Sofie was up nonstop and I ended up sleeping in the chair with her half the night. Today she was still not eating as much as usual and had a runny nose. We went to Music Makers this morning and after a short nap we took a long walk with Charlie and then explored in the courtyard and outside our building until Dad got home. One of Sofie's favorite new things to do is to tumble around on our bed. Hoping tonight goes better.

On The Mend

Another rough night and Sofie still wasn't a hundred percent today, she developed a runny nose and didn't have much of an appetite until dinner, but seemed to be much better by the end of the evening. Finally discovered that the two teeth we've been waiting for have cut through, center top and top left! That makes five total. This morning we visited Grandpa Ali at the airport and Sofie started calling him "pa-pa"! After her nap we walked up and down our street and explored the courtyard in our building.

Cheerios With Charlie

Finally a good night's sleep, unfortunately Sofie seems to have come down with a stomach bug, she was sick all day and didn't have much of an appetite. Dad was home sick today too, this morning we ran some errands and then took Sofie to the doctor this afternoon. Sofie has now started sharing her Cheerios with Charlie which definitely makes him happy!

Tooth please?

Another rough night, teeth still bothering her. Today we went to the farmers market, and then a long walk on the beach, it was hot! She fell alseep in the car seat on the way home from the store, that's a first time in along time. Then got sick after her nap, didn't each much for lunch or dinner. Hoping for better week!

Sharing Blocks

Another rough night, really hoping for some relief soon. This morning we ran some errands and went to the park. We spent the rest of the day after nap visiting with Grandpa Ali and Grandma Lucy, Sofie had so much fun running around the yard and playing with some new toys.

Boxed Up

Another bad night, but it looks like we're close, two teeth are finally cutting through, which explains why it's been such a rough time. This morning we went to Moo Moo Musica and then after a shorter nap we went to playgroup at the beach playground and enjoyed the nice weather and sunset.

Chasing Birds

Another really bad night, up every two hours and teething bad all day. Caught a good look at her gums today and it looks like there are at least three teeth coming in, maybe more. Had a fun morning enjoying the warm weather down at the beach, we played on the playground and took a stroll along the bike path with our friends from playgroup. Sofie is starting to try to interact more directly with other kids now. She was really tired and took a long nap and then we visited with Grandpa Ali, Mormor Lillemor and an old family friend.

Music Time

Another really rough night, really hope these teeth come out soon! This morning we had music class then after a shorter nap we managed to get to the park a little earlier to enjoy the daylight. Sofie was teething bad all day, chewing on everything and drooling a lot, but her teeth are being stubborn.

14 Months!

Another horrible night with Sofie up constantly, not sure if it's just the teething (her two teeth are soooo close!) or also the time change throwing her off. This morning we went to Baby Time at the library and then Sofie took another fairly long nap. The afternoon was thrown off again but we had a quick park trip and short visit with Grandpa Ali. Sofie had some fun before bed driving around the house in a box.

Blustery Day

Probably the worst night since teething began way back when. Sofie was up all night and would wake within ten minutes of trying to put her down. This morning we had her second round of one year vaccines and she weighed in at 16lbs. 13oz. She took a very long nap and ate a ton for lunch. The time change and early sunset shortened our afternoon but we took a quick trip to the park.

Dog Play

A rough night and Sofie of course woke early with the new time change. Not so sure she is weaning after all, she's gone back to nursing normally so it may have just been because of her teething. This morning we ran some errands and went to the park. After a shorter nap we went for a walk along the beach with Charlie and then worked hard to keep Sofie awake and entertained until bedtime, definitely not a fan of this daylight savings thing!

A Nice Day For A Bikeride

Another really good night, but still an early wake up. It seems that Sofie is starting to wean herself, she cut out all her feedings aside from her nap yesterday and a couple in the middle of the night, then nothing until bed tonight. I'm proud we made it this far and glad that it will be her decision to stop. This morning we did some shopping and Sofie had fun running around the store. After a long nap, Dad and Sofie took a bike ride to the park and then we all went for a walk with Charlie.

Cranky Friday

A real rough night, Sofie was up almost every hour, I think possibly because of the heat. This morning we checked out Moo Moo Musica, another fun music class we may sign up for. Sofie only managed a short one hour nap so we walked the park for playgroup and Dad and Charlie met up with us there. When we got home Sofie checked out Dad giving Charlie a much needed bath!

Summer In November

Another good night but Sofie was teething bad again all day. It was the hottest day yet of this heat wave we've been having. We spent the morning at the park with our friends the Brunos and baby Lincoln who just turned one year. It was really warm but didn't stop Sofie from running around all over the park and we stayed a little late so she was exhausted and took a long late nap. Took a walk with Charlie and hung out at home the rest of the day.

Rolling Around

A good night finally, but still up early at 6:30 and teething bad all day. This morning we had Music Makers where Sofie had fun as usual. After a long, late afternoon we ran some errands.

I Heart Walking

A somewhat better night but Sofie was up early again by 6am. Dad took her to vote with him this morning and then we went to Baby Time at the library. Sofie woke late from her nap so we took Charlie for a long walk and then went off to the polling place again so I could vote too.

Feeling Ticklish!

Another rough one, Sofie was up and wide awake at 5:30, I think thanks to the later bedtime, hopefully she'll get used to the change soon! This morning we visited Grandpa Ali, Grandma Lucy and Auntie Amanda at the airport, Sofie had a great time running around and climbing stairs. After her nap we spent the warm afternoon running around the park. Sofie was teething bad all day, both teeth are so close!
